Elevated Living with Coastal Perspective
Completed in 2024, Hythe was a renovation and extension project designed to take full advantage of its coastal setting. The new upper-level living space features floor-to-ceiling glazing and dark timber flooring, framing expansive views across rooftops to the sea. The brief focused on creating calm, open interiors that connect visually to the surrounding landscape.
The extension was built using vertical timber cladding and large glass panels to create a clean, modern façade. The design prioritised natural light, privacy, and a strong architectural identity. Construction began in early 2024, with the aim of delivering a warm, low-maintenance structure that complements its semi-rural surroundings.
